Terran Cruiser Crusher

“Motherfuckers!” Holly screamed. She’d faced a lot of things since her abduction from Earth by the Cowlees. She’d been scared, confused, excited… her emotions had run the gamut. She’d even been angry a few times. But not like this. She was so damn furious that she could barely hear and see straight as she started toward the door.

But then her legs locked up and wouldn’t take her out of the room to go unleash her righteous indignation on the motherfucking aliens who so richly deserved to die. She looked down to see if they were stuck in something, or if her boots had magnetically locked to the floor, but she couldn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t move.

<No,> Kim said. <Not like this.>

<You’re responsible for this? Let me the fuck go!>

<I will not. You promised me you wouldn’t do this again, and I’m holding you to it.>

<No! No! No!> Holly screamed. <We have to find out if they were taken to Shirgan, and if so, we need to go after them!>

<And how do you intend to find out that information?>

<I’m going to go find the CO of that battlecruiser, and I’m going to strangle him with my two hands until he tells me!>

<I see. How are you getting there?>

<Bella will take me.>

<And once you’re there, you’re going to march right up to Captain Sistar? Because his people will let you do that? It didn’t work so well last time, if I remember. There was screaming, and fighting, and explosions… and then we ran away in the face of superior firepower.>

<Oh, fuck it all!> Holly said. <Stop throwing facts at me!> Some of her anger turned to frustration, for she knew that Kim was right. <That’s not a fair way to argue your point!>

<It’s very fair. Besides, you promised.>

<Well… fuck,> she said, running out of steam. Her shoulders slumped, and she sighed. <Okay, you can unlock me. I’m done.> Her legs twitched as the restraining force released, and she turned and went back to her seat and threw herself into it.

She looked up as she sat back in the chair to find everyone staring at her. James’s mouth hung open, and his eyes were wide, like he’d just see a ghost.

“What?” Holly asked. “What’s everyone looking at? Let’s get this planned so we can unfuck whatever it is that the Cowlees have done now.”

“I have to say,” Steven said, “that I am impressed with the control you exercised just now. I thought that was going to be an epic Holly rant… kind of like when you went out to wrestle the wyrms.”

“Yeah, well, it was going to be,” she said as her face heated up. “I had every intention of going off to throttle the commanding officer of a certain battlecruiser.”

“What stopped you?”

“Kim. She reminded me that I promised I wouldn’t do that again. She may have locked up my legs, too.”

“Is that something that happens often?” Johnson asked, his eyes narrowed, and his voice full of concern.

“No,” Holly said, looking down.
